Basically, every time you try to talk about non-Anglophone SF (which we really mean Non-Anglo-Saxon SF, but then people get offended by the use of the term ‘Anglo-Saxon”!) it goes as follow:
- Treat it as a unified block of literature, which it certainly is not (unlike American SF)
- Let’s make a list!
- Let’s make a hashtag!
- Let’s talk about THE OTHER
- What we really want to talk about is in the context of American SF/F
- Let’s ask an American writer to write an article on this important topic
- Cat pictures
- I’m hungry
