Interview at SF Signal

I chatted to Patrick Hester recently for the SF Signal podcast, which is now online. We talk about steampunk, cover art, Going to the Moon, The Apex Book of World SF and lots of other stuff. Warning: quite a lot of bitching about steampunk follows!

And, for no particular reason, a picture – it’s funny because it’s true!

Some more pictures from Israel’s occupation of Gaza – but there’s nothing to see here, folks, Israel’s an honourable country with an honourable army – right? Right? Um, yeah…

Is this the worst book cover in the world?

I was so startled by this cover I just had to take a picture of it. Two, actually. It’s the Hebrew edition of one of those Forgotten Realms(tm) novels. What do you think? Is it just me? Or is there something a little… off about Mr. Blond and Ms. Elvish?

Book Porn: Ellis Peters’ Cadfael novels

Still recovering – sleep’s important! Lots of work to catch up with next week. In the meantime -

My set of 14 or 15 (think one’s out of the frame) Brother Cadfael first editions – a mix of US and UK 1sts, all picked up at the same time. Being a big fan of the novels, I’m delighted to have them on my shelf!

Icon photos – Day 1

Still recovering – had a long week and not enough sleep. Some exciting developments on the books front that I can’t mention yet, but meant I spent most of yesterday on skype and e-mail. In the meantime!

Jaffa Rubbish, again

So yes, I’m planning on submitting my series of Jaffa rubbish photos to the Turner Prize. It seems just the thing.

In the meantime, here’s the latest entry in my quest for ever more interesting junk.
