Black Gods Kiss

Black Gods Kiss

My long-delayed companion collection to 2012’s British Fantasy Award winning novella, Gorel & The Pot-Bellied God, is published this month (I know, right? Books are like buses, you wait ages and then two come along at once!).

The superbly pulpy cover is by my regular PS artist, Pedro Marques!

This collects 5 long stories, including a new novella, “Kur-a-len”. The full table of contents is:

  • Black Gods Kiss
  • Buried Eyes
  • Kur-a-len
  • The Dead Leaves
  • White Queen

And here’s the blurb!

His name was Gorel of Goliris and he was a gunslinger and an addict, touched by the Black Kiss. Gorel wanted nothing more than to return to his home, the greatest empire the World had ever known, from which he was banished by sorcery as a child. But wherever he went, trouble doggedly followed, and death preceded his steps . . .

In Black Gods Kiss Lavie Tidhar returns to the vivid world of his 2012 British Fantasy Award winning novella, Gorel & The Pot-Bellied God. It collects 5 long adventures set before and after the events of Pot-Bellied God, and includes a brand-new novella, “Kur-a-Len”.

In these pages you will find thrilling tales of guns and sorcery, filled with ghosts, mercenaries, necromancers and gods – not to mention sex, and death!

Currently you can pre-order the regular hardcover edition, off to print next week. A signed limited edition of 100 copies will also be available, as well as (I think), e-book editions etc.

PS are also offering a very limited time deal on all my other titles with them, including Osama, Martian Sands, Cloud Permutations and, of course, Gorel & The Pot-Bellied God.
