Lavie is the author of the novella An Occupation of Angels (2005 UK, American edition forthcoming 2010), forthcoming novellas Cloud Permutations and Gorel & The Pot-Bellied God (both from PS Publishing), linked-story collection HebrewPunk (2007), and short novel The Tel Aviv Dossier (2009, with Nir Yaniv). Also with Nir Yaniv, he wrote the Hebrew murder mystery Retzach Bidyoni (A Fictional Murder), published in Israel in 2009.

Lavie’s first novel, The Bookman, is the first of a series to be published, beginning in spring 2010, by HarperCollins’ Angry Robot imprint.

He also edited the anthologies A Dick & Jane Primer for Adults (BFS Publications 2008) and The Apex Book of World SF (Apex Books 2009).
